Tour Plan

14:00 – Arrival at Yellow Snow Husky Tours
We will give you a tour around the kennel and explain to you how the huskies live and what kind of care we give them. Of course you will get the chance to cuddle with our super friendly huskies and play with the puppies.

After this we prepare the equipment for the 2-day training. We take out the dogs, put on their harnesses and attach them to the lines. We take 10-12 dogs in front of the dryland-vehicle and you will join as a passenger. There is a lot of excitement before we leave, but as soon as we go the dogs are 100% concentrated on doing what they do best! They will pull the vehicle through a beautiful colorful landscape! If you want you can drive the dogs on some parts as well.

When we arrive at the cabin we take care of the dogs first. After that we make a fire in the cabin, get water from the well and make it nice and cozy. We can make a campfire outside, we could go for a walk to explore the surroundings or heat up the sauna.
We enjoy a dinner and cozy evening in the cabin and hope to see some northern light shows. If you are interested we can talk more about our dogs, the breed Alaskan Husky, our breeding program, training, winter expeditions and lots more.

When the sun rises, the dogs awake and we do as well. First we feed the dogs, then we enjoy a nice breakfast with home-baked bread. After that we make ourselves ready for the husky tour back to the kennel.

When we return we thank the huskies for their good work and bring them back to their kennel.

ca 11:00 – Unfortunately it is already time to leave. But you will go home with life-ling memories and you are always welcome back for more adventures!

There are no requirements in regard of experience, age and fitness to join this tour with us.
Because we are out on a private tour, we can change the program to your wishes and abilities at any time.

For families with children
This activity is also very fun for families with children. We advice a minimum age of 8 years old. Families with younger children can come too, but it is more likely that we have to adjust the program according to the conditions.

The Cabin

We will stay the night in a cozy log cabin in the middle of the forest, next to a river. From the cabin there are beautiful views towards the north and you can take a 1 km hike towards a spectacular viewpoint where you can see the sunset.

There is no electricity or running water. We make a fire to get warm, we get water from a well and we use candles to see something. The toilet is outside in a separate building. There is also a sauna available where you can get a real Swedish experience and wash yourselves.
You will have a private bedroom where you sleep with your group. The guide will sleep in the common room where also the kitchen is. The dogs sleep outside on a warm straw-bed, although we can take one inside for a cuddle.

We do ask you to be part of the team and help out with the chores. Examples: making a fire, chopping wood, feeding the dogs, getting water, help with making the dinner, doing dishes, etc. These things are part of the adventures and the more you get involved, the greater the experience.
