THE TEAM
Yellow Snow Husky Tours is a small dog sledding company, based in Swedish Lapland. It is owned and run by Sanne Kouwenhoven who started the company in 2018.
Sanne and the huskies are the soul of Yellow Snow Husky Tours, but they couldn’t do this without the help of other guides, handlers, interns and volunteers. We always make sure that there is a fixed and professionally trained team in Winter, but also throughout the rest of the year there are many hands helping out with the care and training of the dogs and many other projects.
STAFF WINTER 2024 - 25
Julia:
Julia started here as an intern some years ago and returned to work as a guide for the full 23-24 season. We are so happy she will be back in Winter 24-25 ! With her friendly smile, extremely good care for the dogs and guests and her passion for the north she is loved by all of us! Julia is originaly from the Netherlands but we have the feeling she has lost her heart to the north. Julia is an allrounder, she is guiding shorter and multi-day husky tours and she helps out with grooming trails.
Marissa:
Marissa worked as a handler on a huskyfarm nearby and decided she wanted to guide more. That will be possible here and we are very excited to welcome her to the team. She lives in Germany, but is already looking forward to Autumn when she can return to the nature and the silence. Marissa will mainly guide the shorter tours, but you might see her bouncing around doing all sorts of jobs, because her energy is hard to miss.
ABOUT SANNE
I was born and raised in the Netherlands, but I found my true home in Scandinavia. In 2010 I decided to leave my busy home country. I was longing for adventure and wanted to fulfil my dreams of living close to nature and learn more about sled dogs. My love for huskies, dog sledding and nature brought me to different places in Lapland. During these years I gained a lot of experience about dog care, wilderness guiding, winter and the nature around.
May 2018 I finally settled down and made another dream come true! Have my own pack of huskies and share my passion of dog sledding with guests from all over the world.
