Tour Plan

10:00 – Arrival at Yellow Snow Husky Tours
We will give you a tour around the kennel and explain to you how the huskies live and what kind of care we give them. Of course you will get the chance to cuddle with our super friendly huskies and play with the puppies.

After this we pack our backpacks and plan to go out for a great day-hike and some of the huskies will join us. If you want you can get a belly-belt and your ‘own’ dog and feel the power during the walk. The dogs love to explore new smells and find new trails.

We will come past tracks of wildlife and enjoy spectacular views. Half-way we will enjoy a nice sandwich-lunch.

When we arrive at the cabin it’s time for some snacks, for us and the dogs. After that we make a fire in the cabin, get water from the well and make it nice and cozy. We can make a campfire outside, we could go for a walk to explore the surroundings, take a swim in the lake or heat up the sauna.
We enjoy a delicious bbq dinner. In Summer we might see the midnight-sun, in September there are chances to see the northern lights.

When the sun rises, the dogs awake and we do as well. First we feed the dogs, after that we enjoy a nice breakfast with home-baked bread ourselves. Then we make ourselves ready for another day outside, hiking back to the kennel.  

When we return we say goodbye to the huskies and bring them back to their kennel.

ca 15:00 – Unfortunately it is already time to leave. But you will go home with life-long memories and you are always welcome back for more adventures!

There are no requirements in regard of experience, age and fitness to join this tour with us.
Because we are out on a private tour, we can change the program to your wishes and abilities at any time.

The hike is around 15 km through the forest. We can take some easier forest roads if needed.
We don’t need to carry heavy luggage, we can transfer this to the cabin with the car.

For families with children
This activity is also very fun for families with children. We advice a minimum age of 8 years old. Families with younger children can come too, but it is more likely that we have to adjust the program according to the conditions and fitness of the children.

The Cabin

We will stay the night in a cozy log cabin in the middle of the forest, next to a river. From the cabin there are beautiful views towards the north and you can take a 1 km hike towards a spectacular viewpoint where you can see the sunset / midnight-sun.

There is no electricity or running water. We make a fire to get warm, we get water from a well and we use candles to see something. The toilet is outside in a separate building. There is also a sauna available where you can get a real Swedish experience and wash yourselves.
You will have a private bedroom where you sleep with your group. The guide will sleep in the common room where also the kitchen is. The dogs sleep outside, although we can take one inside for a cuddle.

We do ask you to be part of the team and help out with the chores. Examples: making a fire, chopping wood, feeding the dogs, getting water, help with making the dinner, doing dishes, etc. These things are part of the adventures and the more you get involved, the greater the experience.
