THE TEAM
Yellow Snow Husky Tours is a small dog sledding company, based in Swedish Lapland. It is owned and run by Sanne Kouwenhoven who started the company in 2018.
Sanne and the huskies are the soul of Yellow Snow Husky Tours, but they couldn’t do this without the help of other guides, handlers, interns and volunteers. We always make sure that there is a fixed and professionally trained team in Winter, but also throughout the rest of the year there are many hands helping out with the care and training of the dogs and many other projects.

Pauline:
I’m Pauline, a 32yo german and together with my Sibi lady Maya I’m always in for some cold adventures! I’ve been working as a guide and doghandler in Norway, Finnland, Germany and the Yukon and YellowSnow Husky is already my sixth kennel. As a licensed Outdoor- & Trekkingguide I love to spend time with people out in nature and explore our wildselfs together!
Jana:
I’m Jana, 27 years old and I’m from Southern Germany. In 2017 I went to Canada for my first time as a Doghandler and of course I totally fell in love with the Mushing World. After experiencing Sprint Kennels and Racing I am now excited to see the longer and more relaxed version of Dogsledding. Together with my own European Sleddog Kea we are happy to join this Seasons Crew.
Nelly:
Hey I’m Nelly, 18 years old and ready to dive into new adventures now that I’ve finished school. I love nature and feel happiest when surrounded by some furry friends. This season, I’m working as a dog handler, eager to discover how much joy it will bring. So let the the adventures begin!
Lotte:
Hej I’m Lotte, from the Netherlands and I started here as an intern in the ’21-’22 season and stayed to work the full ’22-’23 season! I fell in love with Yla during my internship and adopted her after my second season and decided to move next door! On my days off from my fulltime job as an outdoor guide at a nearby lodge you will find me here doing some guiding, trail grooming and ofcourse spending time with the lovely doggies!
Lars:
Hi! I’m Lars, 30yo and from Germany. Next to my love to Sanne I found my passion for the dogs up here in the north.
Started at a small kennel in the area I could make further experience in Patagonia and in our kennel.
I’m around when I’m off from my job as a firefighter.
ABOUT SANNE
I was born and raised in the Netherlands, but I found my true home in Scandinavia. In 2010 I decided to leave my busy home country. I was longing for adventure and wanted to fulfil my dreams of living close to nature and learn more about sled dogs. My love for huskies, dog sledding and nature brought me to different places in Lapland. During these years I gained a lot of experience about dog care, wilderness guiding, winter and the nature around.
May 2018 I finally settled down and made another dream come true! Have my own pack of huskies and share my passion of dog sledding with guests from all over the world.
